Overbust corset pattern DOLORES is a completely free digital pattern for you to play with and explore corsetmaking.
It is a model with 6 pattern pieces per side and an optional suspendable modesty panel.

I’ve created Overbust corset DOLORES as a very beginner friendly overbust pattern. With it’s simple seam lines and all circumferences marked on the pattern, you will change and fit it in no time to your unique self.
Use this pattern as a base for many different designs! It is perfect to incorporate into your special occasions dresses, cosplay costumes or your everyday wardrobe!
This pattern has been made with a waist reduction of 10cm or 4″ and it has a 5cm or 2″ lacing gap included.
You can make and sell as many corsets by using this pattern.
Measurements and sizes:
Pattern is originally drafted using Metric values!
Imperial values have been converted and rounded up, making the values in Inches approximations.
Measurement shown in the size charts are values for the finished corset not body measurements!
All circumference heights are clearly marked on all pattern pieces making it easier for you to adjust.

How was the example overbust corset Dolores made?
Example corset is made as a single layer construction corset with external boning channels. Black spot broche coutil is used as the strength layer. Boning channels are made from the same material. Waist tape and corset edges are made using a black cotton twill tape. Most boning is 7mm wide spiral steel with only the back lacing bones being 5mm wide flat steel.
Corset has a suspended modesty panel made from two layers of black spot broche and is lightly boned with 5mm wide spiral steel boning. Back lacing is black cotton tubular corsetry lacing.
Many different types of corset construction can be applied to Overbust corset pattern DOLORES, it is purely a question of preference!
